Customers have reported that the secure portal is unreachable. The Zix data center engineers are currently investigating the issue. We will update this posting as needed.

Beginning at 3:13pm EST, our monitoring started detecting certain encrypted emails being delayed in delivery from one encryption cluster. Engineers began researching the cause. It was found to be isolated to this single encryption cluster. Further research showed the issue was related to an encryption key issue with Zix.
Engineers resolved the issue and the email queues flushed. As of 5:33pm EST all affected emails were successfully delivered.

Internap has reported that the service issue in thier Atlanta facilities has been resolved.
Message delays were experienced by some customers that were being exclusively served by our Atlanta Data Center between 08:40 EST and 09:20 EST. This interruption was due an outage in Internap's ACS/ ACS002/ ACS003 PNAPs. The root cause of this interruption is being investigated.
We have removed Internap ACS connectivity until the root cause has been isolated.

Message delays were experienced by a large number of customers throughout the day. it was determined that these delays were due to a spanning-tree storm that effected the ability of our Authentication Services to perform LDAP queries in the allotted amount of time before expiring. The devices causing this "storm" were identified and then taken off-line. Due to the reduction in availability of Authentication Services for outgoing messages, we experienced a large backlog of messages in our outbound delivery queues. Although message were delivered, there were significant delays, some messages taking up to 120 minutes to be delivered.
We understand that such occurrences are disruptive and unacceptable and we will be working diligently on a solution in order to avoid a occurrence.
We greatly apologize for this issue and the inconvenience it has caused.

We are in the process restoring services and delivery times should slowly increase throughout the restoration process. We will update this case again once services have been fully restored.

We have started remediation of a spanning-tree broadcast issue that has been identified as the source of Authentication Services delays. We are seeing significant delays at this point, some up to 120 minutes, we are working to restore more acceptable delivery times and hope to see such times reduced within in the next hour.

Degradation in our Authentication Services has been identified as the root cause of the message delays. We are work to isolate the issue.

Message delays for both encrypted and non-encrypted messages have been detected and we are investigating the cause.
